The Middle East is a region where vehicle is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have risen the price of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one organization is making the most of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, currently their client-list contains McDonald's.
